Phosphate/Parkerized Finished Mark VI and Mark IV Webleys from WWII era
I know that this was done during refubrishment at arsenals, mostly overseas, but was this a common practice during WWII?

All the WW2 military Mark IV .38's were blued, or M.F. for military finish as the factory called it.

That's a post War commercial MK IV that was sold to the Singapore Police Force. It was originally blued.
